This is one of those goofy projects that you think isn't going to take any time, but takes more time than it should: yesterday, I got the new bus bar built and put in there, and today I hooked all the wires up to it. Took longer than I thought it would.

In any case, there it is. Nothing really interesting here. |
The AOA pitot from Dynon is here. More about this below. |
Been sort of a dilemma trying to figure out to do with the pitot tube: ideally, I'd like to get a heated Angle-of-Attack (hereafter "AOA") pitot, however, you can get heated pitot tubes and you can get AOA pitots, but so far, the only folks that have talked about building a heated AOA pitot (Dynon) have kept saying "well, we're about to come out with it" for the last two years.
That doesn't help me very much. However, Dynon's said (I think) that they'll take the unheated AOA pitots as trade-ins on the heated ones, and for now - not flying IFR - I expect that the AOA will be used a bit more. If they still don't have it out by the time I want to fly IFR in this thing, then maybe we'll have to rethink this . . . or duct tape a hair dryer out on the wing. (Kidding!)
Now all we have to do is figure out how to attach it to the mount. It fits in there nicely now, but so far there's not a way to attach it.
