One of the main projects for today was tracking down Sherwin-Williams G.B.P. Self-Etching Primer in an Aerosol can. Oddly enough, this isn't carried by any of the Sherwin-Williams stores that are in our area, we finally found it at an auto paint store ("Bill Clemons Auto Paint," if you're in the Huntsville area.)
Here's a link to the Sherwin-Williams site, if you want to buy it on the web.

Here it is! |
This is the metal-cutting bandsaw blade we finally found, it's made by Vermont American. |
Pushrod tubes, now cut to the right length . . . and some scrap. We're not making really short pushrods. |
|
Got a new grinder and set it up . . . the old one wouldn't fit the scotchbrite wheel that was one of the main points of having a grinder in the first place. |
Drilling the rivet holes in the W-818 assembly. These are smaller pilot holes, we still have to drill out larger ones. |

As of today, all of the crates are out of the shop. This is what the shop looks like now . . . |
. . . and here's what it looks like from the other side. |
Well, time to call it a day. Tomorrow, we'll finish drilling all these out, prime them, and rivet them. That's the plan, anyway.
