28 Aug 04 - Aileron Pushrods

One of the main projects for today was tracking down Sherwin-Williams G.B.P. Self-Etching Primer in an Aerosol can. Oddly enough, this isn't carried by any of the Sherwin-Williams stores that are in our area, we finally found it at an auto paint store ("Bill Clemons Auto Paint," if you're in the Huntsville area.)

Here it is!	This is the metal-cutting bandsaw blade we finally found, it's made by Vermont American.	Pushrod tubes, now cut to the right length . . . and some scrap. We're not making really short pushrods.
Got a new grinder and set it up . . . the old one wouldn't fit the scotchbrite wheel that was one of the main points of having a grinder in the first place.	Drilling the rivet holes in the W-818 assembly. These are smaller pilot holes, we still have to drill out larger ones.	W-818 with the pilot holes drilled.
As of today, all of the crates are out of the shop. This is what the shop looks like now . . .	. . . and here's what it looks like from the other side.

Well, time to call it a day. Tomorrow, we'll finish drilling all these out, prime them, and rivet them. That's the plan, anyway.
