Sawhorses trimmed down to a more reasonable level. They started at 35 inches tall (too tall) and are now down to about 28.
Finally, we set up the band saw from Home Depot (it's been sitting around in the box for a few days.)

We had a bit more trouble than I thought we would finding a suitable bandsaw - well, actually the trouble was finding a bandsaw blade that was able to cut metal. After checking at Sears, Home Depot, and Lowe's, we found one at Lowe's that fit the saw that we liked from Home Depot. Oh well, it's always the last place you look.
The blade that we got is from Vermont American. The one that fits our saw is 59-1/2 inches long.
