15 June 06 - Intercom/Panel Brace Stuff, Mounting LED's

A few interesting things, today. The main project was finding a way to route the wires that will go to the intercom. The wiring harness that we got was large enough that it'll be interesting to try to get it through the subpanel - we can drill a hole that the wires will go through, but getting everything through that hole is just not happening. Therefore, we have to cut a slot to the hole, so we can get the wires in - and in addition, make life easier if we should ever have to pull this sucker out.

Making one of these is not all that interesting - pretty much just an angle that we can attach to the bottom of the panel with nutplates - the idea is to close up the slot after we get all the wires in there.

There it is . . . without wires, for now. It'll be full of wires as soon as the panel gets mounted.

Still puttering around with routing wires for these guys - there's now a clamp that holds all the wires that is on the other side - you can see the nut and the end of the screw from this perspective. Those wires aren't going anywhere!
