10 July 06 - Measuring, Trimming Wing Root Fairings

Yeah, this is a pretty boring page. There's not really much to take pictures of, and a large amount of grunt work.

The wing root fairings have to be trimmed to be a specific distance from the fuselage. The easiest way to measure this is to get a block that is that width, push it up against the fuselage, and slide it around the wing while chasing it with a sharpie pen. This is what we're doing here.

Marking the distance.

Then there was a lot of work with grinders, files, and scotchbrite. Woop de do.
